My Time, Our Place V2.0 brings significant updates for OSHC services. Here's what changed, what stayed the same, and how OSHCTOPIA already aligns.
My Time, Our Place (MTOP) V2.0 was released with updated learning outcomes and a stronger emphasis on child agency, sustainability, and critical thinking. For OSHC educators, this means reviewing your program documentation and ensuring your practice reflects the updated framework.
The five learning outcomes remain, but the language around child agency has been strengthened. There is greater emphasis on children as active contributors to their communities, not just participants.
V2.0 places sustainability at the heart of the framework. OSHCTOPIA's Nature & Planet First district was designed with exactly this in mind — giving children hands-on experiences with environmental stewardship.
Every OSHCTOPIA district maps to specific MTOP V2.0 outcomes. The framework documentation included in the Complete System and Professional Licence tiers includes updated alignment charts for V2.0.
1. Review your current program documentation against V2.0 outcomes
2. Identify gaps in your practice
3. Use OSHCTOPIA's district framework to fill those gaps with intentional, documented experiences
